Every month, we bring you an update about what’s new and exciting at Cockpit. From stunning products to intriguing projects to inspiring brand partnerships, here are the latest developments from our makers.

It's nearly Valentine's Day... Celebrate love and friendship the Chalk Jewellery way

For jewellery designer Malaika Carr, this year’s Valentine’s Day celebrations are all about structure, form, and thoughtful design. Her new Jaan Heart collection — inspired by the iconic arched windows of the Barbican estate — puts a romantic spin on Brutalist geometry and translates architectural history into subtle reminders of love in the form of playful heart-shaped earrings, bag charms, and key rings.

For those wanting to get creative this month, Malaika will be offering a hands-on Galentine’s Day workshop on 15 February, inviting you to slow down and create your own heart earrings and charm.

Capture your long-distance story in a globe from Randon Burns

Woodturner Randon Burns has a way of making long distances feel smaller with his personalised hand-turned globes.

Turned from solid wood, each globe begins as a blank sphere before being inlaid with gold, silver, or gems to map meaningful coordinates. Using the North Pole or the Equator as a point of reference, Randon carefully carves destinations and journeys, making each globe a special reminder of a shared memory or a thoughtful gift for someone you love from afar.

A bouquet made to last - discover Michèle Oberdieck's glass flowers

Unlike cut flowers that inevitably fade, Michèle Oberdieck‘s floral works preserve their fragile beauty long after it might otherwise be lost.

Specialising in blown glass, Michèle’s ‘Fantasy Plants’ series was first inspired by the endangered and extinct plants found at Kew Gardens. By translating gestural sketches into fluid sculptural forms, she creates imagined flowers that question the effects of climate change and invite reflection on plant welfare and what we choose to protect.
