Broken Roman vase

This vase is made from one piece of maple burl and the way I have turned it was to make it look like a excavated Roman vase as coming from Colchester it’s something I’ve wanted to replicate after always seeing them in Colchester castle. This vase was turned on a traditional wood lathe and with traditional hand tool. All the textured you see on this vase is all the natural edge I have dye it or burn it this vase it 26 inches 66cm high by 17 inches or 43cm wide and has been finished with danish oil
