Kathryn Tomasetti is a sustainable handweaver, natural dyer and eco-printer. She is the founder of Botanical Weaves, a handwoven textile business. Kathryn creates high-end baby carriers as well as one-of-a-kind scarves, yoga and lap blankets.
Kathryn is the winner of the Cockpit Dyers Award 2024.
All her fibres are locally sourced or reclaimed (meaning yarn and textiles that are secondhand, mill ends, end-of-projects or may otherwise be thrown away). Kathryn dyes all of her handwovens using natural dye plants, such as traditional blue woad and neon yellow weld, that she grows organically in her allotment or forages responsibly.
