About

Contemporary fine jewellery with a unique sense of colour, composition, and asymmetry.

Lucy lives and works in South London, where she grew up, establishing her studio in 2002 at Cockpit in Deptford. She studied jewellery at both Birmingham School of Jewellery and Central St. Martins.

Lucys work is characterised by graphic forms in which precisely balanced sequences of colour and texture are suspended. Gemstones are carefully selected and often individually cut for each design. Metalwork in blackened, oxidised silver and rich yellow gold combines with a luscious spectrum of gemstones to create a signature balanced asymmetry.

Colourful bespoke jewellery commissions and heirloom remodelling projects in a contemporary style are Lucy's speciality.

“Colour is my great love and endless inspiration. I never tire of combining natural coloured stones in new sequences of tone and texture, it's like discovering treasure again and again.”

Process

All pieces are handcrafted with great care from recycled metals. Lucy works in a distinctly un-digital way, using simple tools and traditional techniques whilst aiming to create very sleek forms, concealing connections and fixings wherever possible, keeping the focus on the gemstones and their unique natural qualities.
