About

Donna Brennan is a Fine Art Jeweller who crafts unique, sculptural jewellery from her studio in London. Her jewellery is a trove of tradition with a contemporary twist. Her “Perfectly Imperfect” aesthetic typically features sinuous, sculptural forms hewn from 18ct Gold, clustered with an assemblage of precious or semi-precious stones.

Initially fine art trained, her work is cross-disciplinary. She completed a BA in Fine Art with Distinction at RMIT, majoring in Goldsmithing, with Scuplture as her minor. She completed an MA with Distinction from the Royal College of Art, London in 2010.

She was awarded a prestigious Australia Council Award for the Arts in 1997 and a DAAD Scholarship 1992-1995. Her work sits in the collections of the V & A London, Museum of Contemporary Art, The Netherlands, & The Swiss National Museum, among others. She has shown in museums and galleries internationally, including a solo show at the Museum of Decorative Art Dresden.

“Confronting the classic 3 c’s of stones - colour, cut, and clarity, I re-work a classic cornerstone of traditional jewellery into otherworldly floral forms with a contemporary twist.”
