Since living in England Jaeyong Kim has grown an appreciation for British workwear and practical garments that are made to last. He creates fabrics targeted towards menswear but doesn’t limit himself and also designs for interior and architectural spaces.

Process
As a weaver with a curious mindset, he finds interest in practical and traditional woven techniques but takes on a more contemporary twist. He focuses on using natural fibres such as wool and cotton. Jaeyong wants to ensure that the fabrics he creates give a sense of security as well as creating something timeless long-lasting.
During his time at Central Saint Martins where he studied textile design, he explored his craft and consistently drew influence from his surroundings and photography of his everyday adventures from building facades, and canals to sweeping parklands. These elements of inspiration that he extracts from his photography are seen throughout his work.
