Designer maker Anna Perring developed her collection of playful porcelain tea lights and striking sculptural table lamps in white stoneware from 2001 when she first launched the enduring Luna Snowball.
The patterns of light they scatter across a room have the quality of fairy lights (that she could never bear to take down after Christmas) and fireflies, seen for the first time in Italy and which were a magical kick-start to her lighting project.
Anna’s children, Tom and Poppy, have now picked up the family business, hand making Anna’s signature delicately pierced porcelain tea lights in the studio — each one bears the maker’s mark with the throwing lines in ivory white clearly visible. Highly covetable and collectable, new designs are constantly evolving with now more than 100 in the Luna Mini archives.
Luna Lighting also creates unique pieces, from tableware to chandeliers, on commission and for special projects.
