Annie joined Cockpit as Chief Executive in 2018. Previously Creative Director at the Crafts Council, she has 20 years’ experience as a cultural leader and social entrepreneur.

Amy joined Cockpit in 2023, bringing over 15 years experience as a creative producer, graphic designer and visual storyteller.

Maxine Clark
Maxine coordinates Cockpit’s awards, careers and young people’s programmes. She holds an MA in contemporary craft and is a Weston Jerwood Creative Fellow.

David Crump
David leads our team of business coaches and trainers. He designs our in-house programme of business support and one-to-one coaching and leads Cockpit’s international consultancy service.

Madeleine Furness
A trained coach, Madeleine plans and delivers our business development programmes and provides one-to-one coaching for studio holders. She returns from maternity leave in April 2022.

Hugo Godfrey
Financial Controller at Cockpit since 2004, Hugo is a qualified accountant and is responsible for all areas of the organisation’s financial management.

Beckie Kingman
Beckie is the friendly face of Cockpit Studios Deptford – managing the studios and office facilities and handling the application process.

Adrian Lee
A practising artist and co-founder of contemporary art website Artvehicle, Adrian is the friendly face of Cockpit Studios Bloomsbury.

Sandie Mattioli
Sandie leads our fundraising, including managing our Supporters’ scheme, stewarding trusts and foundations, and running events, venue hire and private tours.

Fabienne O’Neill
Fabienne leads on all aspects of business operations, including both operational and HR functions, in addition to property management, commercial development, future development and strategy.

Emma Sims
Emma coordinates Cockpit’s business development programmes, supporting makers to establish and grow their practices. Drawing on her background in energy, Emma is also Cockpit’s Green Champion.

An aspiring jeweller, Patricia retired from a 25-year career as a partner in international law to focus on extending her portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles.
