About

Morag Seaton is a Scottish designer and maker whose work combines thoughtful research into everyday clothing rituals with highly crafted fashion artefacts.

Morag makes carefully constructed clothes, bags and pocket artefacts inspired by conversations with people about their clothing experiences, understandings, and fictional ideas. Each project begins with an everyday or speculative question that seeks to unpack the socio-cultural, environmental, and personal significance of the objects we wear. The resulting works are made using circular or zero-waste methods, and high-quality materials that are locally sourced, or repurposed from deadstock and post-production waste.

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art (2018) and the Royal College of Art (2023), Morag has received awards across design, sustainability and writing, including the John Byrne Writing Award (2018), the Sustainable Futures Scholarship (2021) and the ALMAW Award at Cockpit (2025).
