Lara Pain is a woven textile designer and artist based in South East London. After graduating from Central Saint Martins, Lara was awarded the Clothworker’s Award at Cockpit Studios - where her current studio is now based.
Lara’s weaving is driven by an innate interest in visual storytelling. Her work abstracts from contemporary narratives; working with colour and texture to relay theme. Lara’s offering spans bespoke handwoven commissions, design consultation and her own artwork practice.
