About

Taking a new direction in her ceramic practice Kerry is making abstract sculptures that have a dynamic; defying a single perspective they push and move and grow into space.
Kerry builds these forms with flattened coils of clay in a process of accretion, adding, cutting away, changing direction, until discovering during the making process that the forms have found their structure and their meaning.

“I use clay as a way of exploring the world, building on past experiences and life events, things felt and seen and remembered. ”
