Personalised Marbled Journal

A luxury hand-marbled journal which can be personalised with a name or initials in metallic foil. Carefully hand-crafted in our Deptford studio, each one is a unique piece. A striking, original gift for list-makers, artists and journalers or something special for those hard-to-buy-for-people; this one-of-a-kind book is made using traditional paper marbling techniques which involve ‘floating’ paints on a bath of thickened water and skilfully manipulating them to make beautiful, elegant patterns. We do all the marbling and hand-make all our books in our South London studio to ensure supreme quality. Available in six contemporary colourways, our journals come in a handy 'Pocket’ size, or 'A5' for those who like a bit more space. We use acrylic paint for its durability and brightness – it won’t rub off or smudge but, as we don't use mass-manufacturing treatments, the papers are not coated so we recommend keeping them away from water where possible to avoid warping. Each book contains 240 pages (120 leaves), made from ivory-toned Italian paper, with a choice of subtle narrow lines or blank paper. Dimensions: Pocket journals measure 9.5cm x 13.5cm x 1.6cm and A5 books measure 21.5cm x 15cm x 1.9cm.
