Handwoven Helix Scarf – Orchard Flowers Topaz
By Charlotte Grierson
The helix scarf is one of Charlotte Grierson’s collection of handwoven scarves. Helix because of the twisting, spiralling pattern created by the weave structures. There are other colour variation to be found in the Helix Scarf collection on her website. This scarf is woven in silk, merino and linen. Linen brings a crisp lightness to the scarf while the merino makes it beautifully soft. This warp was inspired by the spring colours of Gustav Klimt’s paintings of orchards and landscapes.
