The length of time to fire these kilns evolves and changes the surface of her work, she highlights the study of flame paths across large wheel thrown vessels.
Barry Andrews work similarly observes atmospheres within landscape along the Thames Estuary, the colours mood and environment respond to tide and weather. His surfaces layered with subtle surface variation to reflect rhythm and stillness of the landscape.
