About

Born in Turkey and based in London, Ömer Öner is a ceramic artist whose practice explores material transition and the reimagining of everyday objects. Trained in History (BA, MA) before studying Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins, his creative journey has been shaped by his educational background and a fascination with the transformative potential of found objects.

Using mould-making and slip-casting, Ömer repurposes found fragments from the streets into new porcelain compositions that balance function and sculpture. His work highlights clay’s long tradition as a medium of imitation and reinterpretation. A Selected Member of the Crafts Potters Association, his pieces have been exhibited internationally at the International Ceramics Exhibition in Mino, Japan, and the International Ceramic Competition in Carouge, Switzerland.
