Discover Darren Appiagyei's award-winning new collection

For this year’s Collect Art Fair, Darren Appiagyei debuted a deeply personal new body of work. ‘What grows in the dark comes to light’ is a showcase of 10 wood vessels exploring scale, cluster formation, and texture. The series was created in honour of his late mother who died from fibroids.

In creating a sensory experience for Collect, Darren invited visitors to step into the darkness in an exploration of loss, grief, and hope through art. Congratulations to Darren on receiving the Collect Open Award!
