Disover Humin Zhang's award-winning designs
Cockpit jeweller Huimin Zhang — whose work was featured in Collect Open during this year’s Collect Art Fair — was recently recognised with not one but four (!) medals at the 2025 Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council competition. Known for pushing the boundaries of jewellery making with different techniques and materials, Huimin’s inspiring work blends technical mastery with artistic vision, often carrying a deeper message encouraging us to bloom brightly, even in the face of life’s challenges.

Celebrate community at an exhibition featuring Amber Khokhar's award-winning work
Artist and designer Amber Khokhar recently won second prize for her ‘Palm II’ painting (pictured here), as part of an exhibition of 26 artists representing different faiths and communities from across the UK.
The exhibition — titled ‘Cloud of Witness’ — is a rich dialogue around faith, divinity and the value of creativity and community and will be on view in South London until 27 April. A perfect arty Easter outing!

Explore your zodiac sign in Yumo Yuan's new hanging piece
Weaver Yumo Yuan‘s practice is inspired by 18th-century warp print techniques and antique Chinese folk textiles. Using a process where he hand-paints patterns onto the silk warp before weaving the weft threads, Yumo has created a signature soft, blurred effect that he uses as a means of storytelling.
His latest handwoven hanging piece — titled ‘The Twelve Zodiac’ — explores the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac, a traditional classification system that assigns an animal and its supposed attributes to each year (and each person born in that year) on a twelve-year cycle.
