Haar & Mauve Round (H. 28 x W. 23cm ; H. 30 x W. 24cm) Part of the Ostfriesia Series. Inspired by my father’s birthplace on the Friesland peninsula. The wide horizon brings a clarity to the delicate colourings of soft greys, delft blues and celadon evident in the flat landscape, as well as nod towards the Dutch and Chinese histories with porcelain. Thin mists, marshland fogs, and sea haze powder the skylines, blurring distinctions from land, the sea and sky.
