Young creatives

Opening doors for the next generation of makers

If you're looking to get into craft or to make it your professional career, have a look at how we can help below.

Make It

Make It is our flagship programme for young creatives, giving tomorrow’s makers space and support to build their own business.  Make It has helped more than 30 brilliant makers set up and grow. Could you be next?

“Having access to expert guidance from the business incubation team has been such a huge benefit. Before I moved to Cockpit my knowledge of running a business was very little. Having regular mentoring and taking part in the Make It Count workshops has really helped me make progress, and made starting a business so much less overwhelming.”

“As a day it was really great fun and it introduced the pupils and myself to some crafts we had never seen or even thought about before. When speaking to the pupils back at school they seemed to be really positive about the whole day and a few of them said they wouldn’t mind making stuff for a job, which I can only take as a positive.”
