‘Shapeshifting’ is a group exhibition that explores how artists create changing beings, forms and environments to express hidden ideas and emotions. The exhibition will draw together a range of artworks made by over 30 learning disabled artists who attend ActionSpace’s supported studios at Cockpit in Bloomsbury. The exhibition is a chance to buy new artworks by ActionSpace artists, many who have exhibited across London and beyond.
ActionSpace’s Co-Director, Sheryll Catto said: “We are delighted to present ‘Shapeshifting’ as part of Cockpit Summer Festival and OpenStudios. Challenged with an enigmatic brief, our artists have each interpreted it in their own unique way and the result is a collection of inspiring, enchanting and sometimes provocative artworks that will leave people thinking well after they walk out of the studio.”
