Initiatives In Art & Culture (IAC)’s Gold + Diamond conference is staged in New York every July. Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary, this year’s conference is entitled ‘Eye on the Prize’.
The conference is a leading forum for dialogue on responsible practice and artistic vision in the jewellery sector highlighting the crucial link between cultural tradition, human rights, and responsible practices in the face of global challenges.
The preeminent global gathering of professionals in precious metals, gemstones, and jewellery, the conference brings together key players from industry, government, NGOs, academia, museums, and the collecting community, as well as jewellers, goldsmiths, and designers to discuss issues of critical importance, to seek common purpose regarding responsible practice, and to celebrate the highest standards in jewellery craft and design.
At this year’s conference, Cockpit maker Ute Decker will accept the Leadership In Responsible Practice in Jewellery Award. This prestigious award recognizes Decker’s passionate commitment to ethical, transparent, and responsible jewellery-making, combined with her remarkable creative vision.
Decker will accept the award in New York, where she will also be one of the speakers.
