Cockpit’s Craft&Making Saturday Club is back for Autumn term!
From October to December 2025, 13-16 year olds will have the opportunity to work with Cockpit’s world-class makers to learn new crafts skills in a creative and social environment.
Cockpit’s Saturday Club gives 13–16-year-olds a unique opportunity to learn craft from the makers at our Studios. It is a part of the National Saturday Club network of clubs that support young people to study subjects they love for free at their local university, college or cultural institution.
Saturday Club members will explore their creativity and hone their practice as young makers by developing new skills, working with a range of materials, and learning directly from studio makers. Saturday Club runs October to June, with 6-8 sessions per term.
Our first term will start with an introduction to a range of craft skills, and then as the year progresses the group will explore new themes and work towards a collaborative creative outcome. Club members will learn new making skills while also developing the ‘4 Cs’: confidence, creativity, collaboration, communication through craft skills.
