Cockpit maker Katharine Coleman MBE has been selected for the British Glass Biennale and the International Bead Biennale 2024. Her work will be on display during the exhibitions from Tuesday to Saturday, from 23 August to 28 September. Katharine’s work has been exhibited widely in the UK and other countries and can be seen in many public collections, including the V&A.
Selected artworks in the British Glass and International Bead Biennale represent a cutting-edge showcase of glass talent based in Britain, with around £30,000 worth of awards up for grabs. Prize winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 22 August at the Glasshouse, Stourbridge; the heart of the historic glass industry in the UK. Winners of the prizes chosen through public votes will be announced at the closing ceremony on 28 September.
The Private View and Awards Ceremony will be held by invitation on Thursday 22 August.
