Event description

Cut, tied, knotted, shaped, embroidered, woven – celebrating summer through a variety of organic materials.

Weaving and knotting—an ancestral craft passed down from her father—became Angelita’s medium of choice, a tactile language through which she explores loss and the reclamation of cultural narratives. Everyday materials are reinterpreted to challenge conventional definitions of utility and beauty, transforming objects into vessels of memory and meaning.

‘Entanglement’ chair is like two beings suspended in a dialogue. Linking it, a web of strands stretches across space, suggesting both the tension and tenderness of entanglement, the invisible pull that exists between bodies. They appear separate and yet are linked, each shaped by the presence of the other, bound in a field of connection. As each seat moves, the tension of the rope increases or decreases, as does the closeness or distance between the two individuals sitting. In this duet, the rope becomes more than texture: it is the thread that binds us, the fragile architecture of relationship made visible.
