Ian Smart

Alongside his role as a Trustee at Cockpit, Ian co-founded Impact Central, an accelerator supporting impact start-ups seeking positive social and environmental change alongside commercial success.

He is a Senior Adviser to Azets, the international accounting, tax and advisory business; non-executive Chairman of Dakota Advisory, a corporate treasury consultancy; on the Advisory Board of The Disruption House, a consultancy accelerating sustainability and innovation through data and research; and is Accountant in Residence at the London College of Fashion.

Previously, Ian was a partner in Grant Thornton for over 20 years, where he was a member of the senior leadership as well as specialising in corporate finance.
