Over the last 30 years, Bill’s work in architecture and interiors has grown in parallel with his iconic bag designs, of which the ‘Rocket Bag’ is in the permanent collection of London’s V&A and New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Today, the Bill Amberg Studio stands as the UK’s foremost authority on leather’s architectural and sculptural applications. The studio is renowned for combining heritage techniques with cutting-edge technology, as demonstrated in recent projects for 22 Bishopsgate, The Royal Academy of Arts and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries at Westminster Abbey.
Bill is an honorary Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers and has honorary doctorates from UAL and the University of Northampton.
