Yanxiong Lin is an artist-maker whose pieces bridge tradition and modernity, combining craftsmanship with a forward-thinking approach. He completed his undergraduate studies at the China Academy of Art and earned a Master's degree with distinction from Central Saint Martins.
Yanxiong’s work explores the interplay between past and present, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and cultural heritage to create sculptural objects and furniture that redefine materiality and form. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at PAD London, Design Miami and Collect Art Fair, and is held in permanent collections like the SHAANXI OPERA HOUSE AND XI’AN CONCERT HALL. In 2024, Lin became the cover of House & Garden Design 100.
Now based between London and Shanghai, Yanxiong continues to explore the intersection of personal experience and craftsmanship, redefining contemporary sculptural objects and furniture through a dialogue between past traditions and future possibilities.
