Ros Millar is a jeweller and maker based in London, working from her South London workshop and store, Kas & Ros. A Cockpit alumni, her practice centres on creating one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate texture, tactility and the inherent character of precious materials. Having grown up along the coast of Northern Ireland, her work is deeply inspired by the shifting textures, colours and forms of the shoreline. This influence is reflected in her ‘sunken treasure’ pieces, where richly coloured gemstones are set within sculptural forms. Ros works through a process of wax carving and lo-fi casting techniques, creating organic, imperfect structures that are then translated into gold.
Alongside her collections, Ros creates bespoke commissions and engagement rings, working closely with clients to develop considered, individual pieces. She is also a co-founder of The Ringsmiths, where she teaches hands-on jewellery workshops, sharing her skills and approach to making.
