Today we’re taking you behind-the-scenes with award-winning wood artist and curator Darren Appiagyei.
Darren is the founder of Inthegrain, a design company which focuses on creating bespoke pieces from wood. Every piece he creates has an underlying story based on personal experience or inspired by everyday life. Sustainability is a key part of his practice, with a focus on sourcing materials locally.
Earlier this year, Darren was the recipient of the prestigious Collect Open Award for his installation ‘what grows in the dark, comes to light’. In this video, we take you behind the scenes to learn about his inspiration and creative practice.
