We have a thrilling year ahead at Cockpit, with the transformation of our Deptford site, and a rich programme of events shaping up through the year.
Work starts this week on the Cockpit Deptford Redevelopment, where we’re working with Cooke Fawcett Architects to extend and improve our studios and create space for 20 new businesses, as well as a learning centre and woodworking hub. In April we launch our crowdfunding campaign to fund the addition of a Secret Garden, designed by Sebastien Cox — an urban oasis for the Deptford community and a space to cultivate craft.
Many Cockpit Makers are exhibiting at Collect Art Fair in March and taking part in London Craft Week in May. If you can’t wait that long, catch Cockpit makers at London Art Fair this week or visit Murmuration at Forest Hill Library, the culmination of Lewisham’s year as London Borough of Culture.
