Susannah is a mixed media artist who works in two different styles, figurative and abstract, both of which revolve around nature. She works in two mediums; hand embroidery and pencil drawing, creating artworks for exhibitions and residencies. In her figurative work she combines pencil drawing with hand embroidery. She stitches into leather using threads and beads to create her abstract pieces.
With a background in Graphic Design, her artworks are reproduced for home interior surface patterns.
In 2021 Susannah received a QEST Finnis Scott Scholarship to study Technical Hand Embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework. She has exhibited at ICFF in New York and at a number of events in the UK, including London Craft Week, London Design Festival and Decorex. Her artworks have been shown in numerous exhibitions, in particular the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Bath Society of Artists Annual Exhibition, The Borderers’ Exhibition and the Royal Cambrian Academy Open Exhibition.
