Within her practice Anna deconstructed what our perception of a knit is to be able to make a change in our perception of what a knit could be. She did this by identifying the characteristics of a knit, to create a foundation for her designs as well as understanding, questioning and reinterpreting what the definition of knit is to be able to create a new contemporary perspective on what knit could be.
Wanting to shine a new, modern light on the craft of knitting Anna researches the relationship between a knit and hard materials. Designing larger scale products/objects for spatial or interior design without a knit losing its characteristics. She aims not to teach yet to grasp attention and create interest and curiosity in the knitted objects/products that are perceived by the observer, providing knit a platform for appreciation that it -in my opinion- truly deserves.
